Building the brand layer for India’s businesses.
I grew up around small businesses — the kind that do genuinely good work but live entirely on word of mouth. A great tailor, a caterer everyone books for weddings, a boutique studio with a loyal following. Ask them for a link and you get a phone number, maybe an Instagram handle that hasn’t been posted to in months.
The internet was supposed to fix this. Instead it scattered them: a dead directory listing here, a Google pin with two reviews there, a WhatsApp catalog no one can find. None of it feels like the business actually is. Customers looking for someone trustworthy end up guessing.
The Brands List started as a simple question — what if every serious business had one page that did it justice? Not a form entry in a database, but a real storefront: their work, their offers, honest reviews, and a direct line to reach them. And what if getting that page took minutes, not a web agency.
That’s what we’re building. A place people can trust to discover businesses worth knowing, and a place those businesses are proud to send people to.
